When you create a PvP character, max armor, weapons, and skills (for the campaigns you own) are open to you (if you wish, you can purchase all PvP skills through the online store). You are also automatically lvl 20. However, you will NOT be able to use that character for PvE. If you PvE with other characters, anything you unlock with those characters will be available for your PvP character.

If you go the PvE route, you will have to complete missions and quests along the campaigns to unlock max armor, get max weapon drops, and unlock skills, you will also start at lvl 1 and have to lvl up to 20. Once you make it to lvl 20, you will be able to PvE or PvP with that character.

Since you have multiple character slots, there is nothing wrong with making a PvP only character, just realize it will be PvP ONLY.

Hey, welcome to GW :-)

When you create a PvE character, he starts at level 1 and you level him up to level 20. PvE characters acquire skills using the gold they earn through playing the PvE aspect of the game. You can then use these characters in the various PvP areas if you so desire.

A PvP character will have access to all the skills unlocked through PvE as well as being able to unlock skills from a Priest of Balthazar. A PvP character startes at level 20 but is unable to play through the PvE prtion of the game world

If you want to play solely PvP, you can purchase skill unlock packs through the in-game store.

As a PvP character you will be able to acquire most of the skills that a PvE character can, except for PvE-only skills. Hope that helps

There are no "realms" in GW - not like WoW, for example.
